Halford

Welcome to Halford church which is situated in the beautiful historical village of Halford on the edge of the Cotswolds.

The Church, dedicated to Our Blessed Lady, now generally known as St. Mary’s, has parts dating from the 12th century. There have been many extensions, alterations and restorations over the centuries. The most recent was in 1994/95 when major work was carried out to the exterior of the tower. The three existing bells were refurbished. Two more bells were hung at this time and a space left for a 6th bell. This, The Millennium bell was cast and installed during 2000. It was dedicated on 30th July making a peal of six. One of the original bells is the oldest inscribed bell in the County and dates from 1430.

The church is open every day for private prayer from 9am to 5pm and every Sunday for worship. All are most welcome.
