Weddings

A wedding is one of the most joyful and significant events for a couple, and for such a special day, we offer a special place to conduct the ceremony. Your marriage is one of life’s great moments, a time of commitment as well as good wishes, feasting and joy. We are delighted to support and work with couples preparing for their Marriage Service in church. You are welcome to have a chat with the Reverend Nicki (0776987123) about your hopes and plans.

Your Church Wedding

You are welcome to marry in church whatever your beliefs, whether or not you are baptised and whether or not you go to church. We would be delighted to help you to commit your lives to one another and to ask God to bless your marriage.

Lots of people marry in their local church, but you might like to marry in a different church because it has special significance for you through family or other connections. There are several  “qualifying connections” which would allow you to be married in one of the Stourdene churches. Rev'd Nicki would be happy to discuss these with you.

Marriage is a commitment “till death us do part”, but we acknowledge that marriages do themselves die, and we welcome wedding enquiries from divorced people. However, it is not legally possible at present for couples of the same sex to have a Marriage Service in the Church of England.
